Title:

A Factorization for Multivariate Formal Power Series and its Applications

Abstract:

We factor multivariate formal power series into infinite product

of formal power series, then we use a multivariate generalization of the

M"obius Inversion Theorem to derive various congruences and identities.

Examples involve binomial (multinomial) coefficients, Catalan, Motzkin,

Schr"oder and Delannoy numbers as well as related sequences are provided.
