Non-Mathematical Experiences
  • Before being a mathematician, I was a pseudo-musician. Besides, I won the ERHU (二胡/南胡) championship in Taiwan several times and I have practiced it for more than 15 years since I was 11 years old. I also gave many concerts in Taiwan, New Zealand and USA (solo in those concerts). I also played the piano but not good enough. I decided to study mathematics when I was 18 years old. Prior to this, I was a professional musician before a mathematician.
